NRL Round 24 Preview - Tigers v Sea Eagles @ Campbelltown

NRL Round 24 Preview - Tigers v Sea Eagles @ Campbelltown

Wests Tigers v Manly Sea Eagles @ Campbelltown Stadium

Preview - The Tigers’ season is on life support as they host the Sea Eagles at Campbelltown Stadium on Thursday night. The host’s season was all but extinguished in a disappointing 20-10 loss to the Dragons at Leichhardt Oval in a match which saw their attack stutter from start to finish. The Sea Eagles conspired to blow a 22-6 lead to lose to the Titans 42-34 in a wild game at Brookvale, as their season of misery continued.

Wests Tigers’ Scouting Report - Elijah Taylor is out which forces Matt Eisenhuth to lock and Chris Lawrence into the starting back r0w.  Alex Twal and Josh Aloiai both return from injury on the bench.

Manly Sea Eagles’ Scouting Report - Trent Barrett makes just the one change with Jack Gosiewski replacing Frank Winterstein on the bench.

Verdict – Tigers by 1-12

Honestly, who knows with this game as both these sides tend to play particularly poorly as favourites. You could argue the Tigers have more to play for, with a faint finals’ berth alive, and are a much more resilient defensive team. Manly however, if they get it right, have more strike power in their team and are more than capable of winning this game on talent. Campbelltown has hardly been a home ground advantage for the Tigers who have lost their past five games there. Tigers to win in a close one but with little confidence.
