NRL Round 24 Preview - Titans v Storm @ CBUS Super Stadium
Gold Coast Titans v Melbourne Storm @ CBUS Super Stadium
Preview - The Storm can take another step towards the Minor Premiership with a victory over the Titans on the Gold Coast on Saturday night. The Storm suffered some carnage in their win against the Eels, ending up with no players on the bench through injury as they ground out a 20-6 victory to take them back to the Top of the Table. The Titans produced a wild comeback, storming home from 22-6 down to beat the Sea Eagles 42-34 to grab just their 8th win of the season.
Gold Coast Titans’ Scouting Report - Garth Brennan makes just the one change for the side that came from the clouds against Manly, with Will Matthews returning on the bench for Bryce Cartwright.
Melbourne Storm Scouting Report - The Storm are forced into a raft of changes through injury and suspensions. Will Chambers is replaced at centre by Justin Olam after his chicken wing tackle. Suliasi Vunivalu is out with Cheyse Blair named on the wing whilst Tui Kamikamica and Ryley Jacks replace Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Brandon Smith on the bench.
Verdict - Storm by 1-10
Storm have some injury concerns at the moment, however I still think they will be too good for the Titans. The Titans rarely produce two weeks in a row, and the Storm are a side that can expose defensive weaknesses. Think this game won’t be a blowout, given the Storm have a few out, but I think they get the job done given we’re at the pointy end of the season.
