NRL Round 20 Preview - Bulldogs v Tigers @ ANZ Stadium

Canterbury Bulldogs v Wests Tigers @ ANZ Stadium

Preview - The Tigers will be looking to do the double over the Bulldogs this season when they meet at ANZ Stadium on Friday night. The Tigers have kept their slim finals’ hopes alive, with highly impressive back-to-back victories over Premiership contenders, the Dragons and Rabbitohs in their past two games. The Bulldogs have been less impressive, going down 14-8 in a dour struggle at the bottom of the table against the Eels last week.

Wests Tigers’ Scouting Report - Ivan Cleary has named an unchanged Tigers’ side, however a massive five players were taken off last week with the HIA rule. The likes of David Noafaolma, Robbie Farah and Elijah Taylor will have to pass concussion protocol to take the field on Friday night.

Canterbury Bulldogs’ Scouting Report - Dean Pay has made just the one change with Ofahiki Ogden replacing Clay Priest on the bench.

Verdict - Tigers by 6-16

Hard to see the Tigers slipping up here, with their finals’ hopes still flickering. The Tigers have struggled against lower ranked sides at times this year though, so I don’t expect this to be a walk in the park. However, Farah and Mbye have really added to the spine of this side and, having regained some defensive resolve, I don’t see the Bulldogs offering much up in the way of points in this game.
