NRL - My Best 5 Bets for Round 25

NRL - My Best 5 Bets for Round 25

Brisbane Broncos v Parramatta Eels @ Suncorp Stadium

BET = Over 39.5 Total Match Points

1.      The Broncos have comfortably scored over 20 points in each of their last 5 games.

2.      Even though there were only 38 points when these sides clashed a month ago, there were only 8 points scored in the 2nd half.

3.      Suncorp is a fast surface and the Broncos, in particular, are loving throwing the ball around at the moment.

4.      The game played at ANZ Stadium a month ago was played at a fast pace and contained a number of line breaks where opportunities were spurned.

5.      I just think both these sides will enjoy the fast conditions and combine for over 40 points.

Canberra Raiders v Newcastle Knights @ GIO Stadium

BET = Over 45.5 Points

1.      Last week in Canberra there were 48 points scored and it is a generally high scoring venue.

2.      When the Knights played the Raiders earlier this season, they combined for 54 points in Newcastle.

3.      The Raiders’ attack has been firing of late, scoring over 120 points in their last 4 games at an average of over 30 per game.

4.      Newcastle have shown there improvement this year, scoring 29 against Parramatta in their last away game.

5.      I just think, late in the season with not much to lose, both sides will throw caution to the wind here with plenty of tries on offer.

Gold Coast Titans v Canterbury Bulldogs @ CBUS Super Stadium

BET = Bulldogs +3.5

1.      The Titans are going worse than anyone at the moment, having lost their past 4 games by over 20 points.

2.      With Ryan James out, Jarryd Hayne in doubt, and Neil Henry being sacked, I just see chaos on the Coast at the moment.

3.      The Bulldogs actually played well against Manly finally showing signs of life in attack.

4.      The Bulldogs have a number of senior players who, despite not playing well, play with plenty of pride, and I'm not sure the Titans are as genuine.

5.      The Dogs might not win, but this games a coin flip, so I'm surprised at the 3.5 start the Dogs are getting.

Cronulla Sharks v Sydney Roosters @ Shark Park

BET = Over 37.5 Points

1.      Earlier this year these sides combined for 56 points up in Gosford.

2.      Last season when the sides met at Shark Park, there were 49 points scored in total.

3.      Both sides are close to full strength and have plenty of attacking weapons at their disposal.

4.      The Sharks have racked up big scores against the Roosters in their last 2 starts, including 44 points and 47 points.

5.      I just think both these sides can attack, and on a dry surface get the total match score over 38 points.

Penrith Panthers v St. George Illawarra Dragons @ Pepper Stadium

BET = Panthers -6.5

1.      The Panthers have won 9 from their past 10 games and are flying at the moment.

2.      The Dragons have had a flu go around the camp and that has affected their preparations.

3.      The Dragons have now lost  9 from their past 12 and are really struggling to recapture their early season form.

4.      Penrith look free in the mind at the moment, having qualified for the finals, while all the pressure is on the Dragons here which could cause them to tighten up.

5.      I like Penrith to win pretty comfortably at home now they have their attacking mojo back.
