NFL Round 2 - Monday Night Football Preview

Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) @ Chicago Bears (1-0) - Soldier Field

The Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz gets his first road start as the Eagles take on the Bears in Monday Night Football at Soldier Field. Elevated to starting quarterback after the trade of Sam Bradford, Wentz was impressive on debut going 22/37 for 278 yards and 2 touchdowns without an interception.The Eagles also played good defence in their 29-10 home win over the Browns, however will face stiffer opponents on Monday night. The Bears went down 23-14 to on the road in Houston in week 1 despite holding a 14-10 halftime advantage. Jay Cutler will need greater protection in the pocket after he was sacked 5 times as the Bears offensive line fell apart. 

Verdict - Bears 26 Eagles 20

Don't love either of these teams, however given Chicago are at home on a Monday night, I give them the edge. Their defence played hard last week in Houston and will have had a look to study up on Carson Wentz. Jay Cutler might not be everyone's cup of tea and he really needs a home win here to keep the wolves at bay.
