NFL Week 8 - Thursday Night Preview
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-4) @ Tennessee Titans (3-4) - Nissan Stadium
The Jaguars visit the Titans in a battle of two struggling NFC South divisional rivals at Nissan Stadium on Thursday Night Football. The Titans 2-game winning streak was stalled last week when the Colts came in and won 34-26 thanks to a big performance from Andrew Luck. In coughing up the lead in the final two minutes of the game, the Titans squandered the chance to tie the Texans at the top of what looks a mediocre division. The heat is right on the Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley and quarterback Blake Bortles after their big 33-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders dropped the Jaguars to 2-4. The Jaguars were tipped by many as a surprise team this year, however have looked a very ordinary football team after six games in 2016.
Verdict - Titans 23 Jaguars 17
I don't trust either of these teams, however I'll take the Titans at home. The Titans performances have been consistently better than the Jaguars this year, with a couple of good road wins and some close losses at home. Last week the Jaguars were awful against Oakland, and a short back-up on the road is usually tough for away sides playing Thursday Night Football.
