NFL Week 6 - Thursday Night Football Preview

Denver Broncos (4-1) @ San Diego Chargers (1-4) - Qualcomm Stadium

It's an AFC West divisional rivalry as the Broncos make the trip to San Diego looking to rebound from their first loss of the season. The Broncos under rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch were beaten in their own backyard by the high flying Atlanta Falcons 23-16. For the Chargers it was a case of another late meltdown as they botched a field goal which would have sent their game in Oakland into overtime. The Chargers have led every single game they have played this season in the the second half, yet remarkably only have 1 win to show for their efforts. 

Verdict - Broncos 23 Chargers 20

It's just too hard to trust the Chargers at the moment. After a string of heartbreaking defeats the confidence in the team must be starting to wane. Having said that I think they can make this a real tight match-up here with Denver looking unconvincing in their first loss of the season. A short turn around and a road game means the Broncos will have to work hard if they want to win this one.
