NRL Finals Week 2 Preview - Rabbitohs v Dragons @ ANZ Stadium

NRL Finals Week 2 - South Sydney Rabbitohs v St. George Illawarra Dragons @ ANZ Stadium

Preview - Traditional rivals the Rabbitohd and Dragons lock horns with a spot in the Preliminary Final on the line at Allianz Stadium. The sides met tech earlier this season with the Dragons winning narrowly 16-14 at Kogarah before the Rabbitohs won a month later 24-10 at ANZ Stadium. The Rabbitohs went desperaelty close to securing a week off when they went down 29-28 to the Storm in perhaps ht game of the season as they squandered a 28-22 lead with 5 minutes to go. The Dragons shocked everybody by demolishing the Broncos in Brisbane 48-18 in they best performance for several months with a dynamic dimply of attacking prowess and physical presence.

South Sydney Rabbitohs' Scouting Report - Anthony Siebold has named an unchanged side from the side that went down in a heartbreaking manner last week. Sam Burgess will be looking to atone for his 3-error performance as, despite making over 150 metres, he made some handling errors which cost his team.

St. George Illawarra Dragons' Scouting Report - The Dragons have suffered a massive loss with Gareth Widdop out for the season after dislocating his shoulder again in his comeback from injury. Kurt Mann will once again slot into five eight. Hame Sele joins the bench, and Euan Aitken a strong chance of returning after being included in the reserves.

Verdict - Rabbitohs by 10-20 I won't completely write the Dragons off like I did last week, however I think it will be mighty tough to reproduce what they did last week. I would have given them a real chance with Gareth Widdop, based on what they would have gathered in confidence and momentum last week. I think they would have beaten just about everyone last week. However, South Sydney were pretty good against the Storm, and I can't see a team with that amount of firepower just crashing out of the finals in two weeks. Think the Dragons keep it pretty close for 50 minutes, before Souths end up winning by a couple of tries.
