NRL Round 25 Preview - Eels v Roosters @ ANZ Stadium

Parramatta Eels v Sydney Roosters @ ANZ Stadium

Preview - The Roosters can lock up a Top 2 spot when they take on the last placed Eels at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night. The Roosters blew a golden opportunity to lock up that spot last week, as they were totally outplayed by the Broncos 22-8 in a high quality game at Allianz Stadium. The Eels were dreadful last week going down 44-6 to the Cowboys to confirm the Wooden Spoon in what has been a wretched season from start to finish for a side that finished in 4th place last season.

Parramatta Eels’ Scouting Report - Brad Arthur has made yet another spine reshuffle with Corey Norman moving to five-eight, Jarryd Hayne moving to fullback, and Bevan French back on the wing. Cameron King has been dropped with Reed Mahoney starting at hooker.

Sydney Roosters’ Scouting Report - Good timing for the Roosters with Trent Robinson able to welcome back Jared Waerea-Hargreaves from injury to replace the suspended Dylan Napa.

Verdict - Roosters by 30+

I think all the air popped out of the balloon for the Eels last week and they will get flogged again here. They have been desperately trying to avoid the Spoon since about mid-season, and now all that has come to nothing there really is nothing to play for here. I think the Roosters need a tune up before the finals and will want a commanding victory here, and I think they win this by 20 points or more.
