NRL Round 25 Preview - Rabbitohs v Tigers @ ANZ Stadium

Wests Tigers v South Sydney Rabbitohs @ ANZ Stadium
Preview - The Rabbitohs will be looking to break a 3-game losing streak heading into the finals as they host the Tigers on Thursday night. The Rabbitohs started fast in Canberra before being run down from 12-0 up, going down 24-12 to remain in 3rd place with a Top 2 spot looking unlikely. The Tigers’ season is officially over after both the Warriors and Broncos won over the weekend. The Tigers were far from convincing in beating Manly 22-20, but can become the only team since the 8-team finals series to miss the playoffs with 13 wins, if they beat Souths on Friday night.
South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Scouting Report - The Rabbitohs are close to full strength with Robert Jennings returning on the wing, after the return of Inglis, Johnson and Graham to their backline last week. Dean Britt has been named to play his first NRL game of the year from the bench.
Wests Tigers’ Scouting Report - The Tigers have sat out Russell Packer who has played with a niggling knee injury for the back half of the season, with Matt Eisenhuth going to prop and Elijah Taylor returning from injury at lock.
Verdict - Souths by 6-14
I think Souths need a win before the finals and I think they will get it here against a Tigers’ side with nothing to play for, and not playing particularly fluent football. Souths had only 40% of the ball against the Raiders, and the Raiders are playing more like a finals’ contender at the moment. The Tigers beat Souths earlier in the year, however I think the motivation will surely be with the Bunnies here and they can turn the table on a Tigers’ side that will be thinking about their holidays after overachieving this season.
