NRL Round 20 Preview - Rabbitohs v Eels @ ANZ Stadium

NRL Round 20 Preview - Rabbitohs v Eels @ ANZ Stadium

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Parramatta Eels @ ANZ Stadium

Preview - The Rabbitohs will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Tigers when they host the last placed Eels at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night. The Rabbitohs 9-game winning run was brought to a shuddering halt as the Tigers kept them well at bay, winning 22-6 to knock the Rabbitohs off the top the table. The Eels broke through for just their 4th win of the season, beating the Bulldogs 14-8, to keep their hopes alive of finishing without the Wooden Spoon in 2018.

South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Scouting Report - The Rabbitohs have named an unchanged side with Sam Burgess cleared for his tackle on former team mate Robbie Farah, which was placed on report last week.

Parramatta Eels’ Scouting Report - David Gower returns on the bench replacing George Jennings in the 17, with Tepai Moeroa starting in the second row, Brad Takairangi moving from the bench to centre, and Jarryd Hayne from centre to wing.

Verdict - Rabbitohs by 6-14

I think the Eels are playing a bit better than when Souths gave them a hiding a month ago, so expecting a tighter contest. However, that loss for the Rabbitohs last week had probably been coming for a few weeks, and I don’t think is a bad thing for them. They have too much to play for here, and expect them to win by a couple of tries as they stay in the race for the Minor Premiership.
