NRL Round 19 Preview - Cowboys v Dragons @ 1300 Smiles Stadium

North Queensland Cowboys v St. George Illawarra Dragons @ 1300 Smiles Stadium
Preview - The Dragons will be looking to avoid a hat trick of defeats as they visit Townsville to take on the floundering Cowboys at 1300 Smiles Stadium on Saturday night. The Dragons were stunned at home 20-16 by the Tigers, after conceding 50 against the Storm, and barely getting over the Eels in the two previous games. The Cowboys were belted by the Raiders 32-12 in Canberra as they lost a 4th game on the trot to remain rooted in 14th spot on the competition ladder, and in a battle to avoid the wooden spoon after coming into the season as one of the premiership favourites.
North Queensland Cowboys’ Scouting Report - Experienced outside back Justin O'Neill replaces Antonio Winterstein on the wing. Coen Hess starts in the back row with Francis Molo joining the bench.
St. George Illawarra Dragons’ Scouting Report - The Dragons are unchanged from the side that disappointed against the Tigers. Paul Vaughn preached a barnstorming performance last week and was the Dragons best alongside Tyson Firzzell.
Verdict - Dragons by 4-12
I think the Dragons can get a bit of their mojo back here against a side that seems to have run out of ideas. There is no doubt the Cowboys will make it difficult for the Dragons but they just don’t seem to have the points in them to really worry sides or take advantage of their good periods in games. Dragons have more to play for here and whilst I don’t think it will be easy, I think they will avoid a third straight loss in a tight and low scoring game.
