NRL Round 14 Preview - Sea Eagles v Warriors @ AMI Stadium

Manly Sea Eagles v New Zealand Warriors @ AMI Stadium

Preview - The Sea Eagles take a home game to Canterbury, New Zealand, as they take on the Warriors on Saturday afternoon. Manly slumped to their 9th loss of the season last week with a disappointing 26-12 loss to the Cowboys at Lottoland, as they remain rooted in 12th spot on the ladder. The Warriors will be looking to bounce back after having two weeks to think about their 30-10 loss to the Rabbitohs at Mount Smart Stadium. Despite losing, the Warriors sit at 8-4 and in 6th spot after a great first half to a season in which many thought they would finish down the bottom of the table.

Manly Sea Eagles’ Scouting Report -
Manly have named both Tom and Jake Trbojevic to back up from Origin, after missing them badly in their loss to the Cowboys. Matt Wright drops to the bench and Shaun Lane moves from lock to second row, with Jack Gosiewski (broken arm/suspension) out. Taniela Paseka joins the bench with Brad Parker and Lloyd Perrett dropping to the Reserves.

New Zealand Warriors’ Scouting Report - The Warriors welcome back their biggest name with Shaun Johnson named to make his return from an ankle injury. Blake Green shifts back to five-eight, Peta Hiku moves to centre, Isaiah Papali'i returns in the second row, with veteran Simon Mannering moves to the bench.

Verdict - Warriors by 4-12 in a high scoring game

I think the crucial thing here is Manly have given up the home ground advantage, and the Warriors are essentially playing a home game here. The Warriors’ recent form has been patchy and, if both Trbojevic brothers back up from Origin, I expect this game to be really close, however the return of Shaun Johnson sways me towards the Warriors. I expect this game to be high scoring if we get a dry track.
