NRL Round 11 Preview - Titans v Knights @ CBUS Super Stadium

Gold Coast Titans v Newcastle Knights @ CBUS Super Stadium

Preview -
The Titans will be hoping to end a horror 5-game losing streak as they host the Knights at CBUS Super Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Titans showed some good signs last week losing 28-14 to the Storm in a game that was far closer than the score line suggested in the end. The Knights dropped their second game straight, going down 29-18 to the Panthers, as their record went to 5-5 and they sit just outside the Top 8 after 10 rounds.

Gold Coast Titan’s Scouting Report - Youngster AJ Brimson remains at five-eight this week after impressing last week. Big money signing Bryce Cartwright has been axed after a string of poor performances with Will Matthews out of the back row, and Keegan Hipgrave to start despite suffering a wrist injury.

Newcastle Knights’ Scouting Report -
Nathan Brown has made just the one change with Jacob Saifiti coming into the side for Luke Yates. The Knights need to stiffen up a defence which has conceded over 60 points combined in their last two defeats.

Verdict - Titans by 1-8 in a high scoring game

Could be a really whacky and open game of football this, especially in day time conditions on generally a fast track on the Gold Coast. I just think the Knights might have hit a bit of a wall without Mitchell Pearce, and the Titans might be able to pinch a home victory here given how desperate they will be. Expecting a high scoring contest here with both sides scoring 20+ points, but the Titans to edge it to get their 4th win of the season.
