NRL Round 10 Preview - Raiders v Sharks @ GIO Stadium

Canberra Raiders v Cronulla Sharks @ GIO Stadium
Preview - The resurgent Raiders host the Sharks at GIO Stadium on Sunday in the battle of two sides starting to find their feet after slow starts to the season. The Raiders managed their 4th win in the last 5 starts, as they started fast against the Titans before holding on for a comfortable 32-18 victory. The Sharks won their 3rd straight blocs game, scrambling home 22-20 against the Eels after leading 22-4, before conceding 3 tries in 6 minutes in a madcap final six minutes of the game.
Canberra Raiders’ Scouting Report - The Raiders have lost one of their big men with Junior Paulo out for up to 8 weeks with a foot injury. He is replaced at prop by Shannon Boyd, with Charlie Gubb (groin) returning from injury on the bench.
Cronulla Sharks’ Scouting Report - The Sharks are still without Wade Graham (hamstring) and Scott Sorensen (broken hand). Jayson Bukuya replaces Graham whilst Paul Gallen is a big inclusion at lock after a few weeks out, and Joseph Paulo shifting to the bench. Jack Williams has been named to debut on the bench in place of Kurt Dillon.
Verdict - Sharks by 1-8 in a high scoring game
I like the Sharks here as they have a good record in Canberra, and I just trust them a little more than the Raiders at the minute. I expect this game on a dry surface in Canberra to be very high scoring and open, as many Raiders and Sharks game sin Canberra have been in recent history. The Sharks to be just tackle a bit better than the Raiders, and I think in a close game, they have a proven record of winning more than they lose which would give them an advantage in a game which should go down to the wire.
