NRL Round 10 Preview - Storm v Titans @ Suncorp Stadium

Melbourne Storm v Gold Coast Titans @ Suncorp Stadium
Preview - The Storm will start as heavy favourites against the Titans in their clash at AAMI Park on Saturday night. The Storm were convincingly beaten in the big game of Round 9, going down 34-14 to the rampant Dragons’ side that remains two games clear of the chasing pack at the top of the table The Titans’ early season form seems a distant memory, as they slumped to a 4th straight loss after a disappointing 32-18 defeat to the Raiders in Canberra.
Melbourne Storm Scouting Report - The Storm welcome back one of their key players with centre Curtis Scott back from an ankle injury replacing debutant Justin Olam. The Storm’s key players Billy Slater and Cameron Smith had unhappy games last week, with Slater making a number of errors and Smith running for just 3 metres in their loss to the Dragons.
Gold Coast Titans Scouting Report - Titans Head Coach Coach Garth Brennan has wielded the axe with the underperforming Bryce Cartwright dropped to the bench with AJ Brimson to debut at five-eighth. Centres Konrad Hurrell and Brendan Elliott are both gone replaced by Dale Copley and Brenko Lee. Jai Arrow is a big loss through injury with Jarrod Wallace moving to lock, Ryan James moves to prop and Will Matthews returns in the back row.
Verdict- Storm by 16-26 in a high scoring game
I can’t see anything other than a massive win for the Storm here. However, the Titans have caused them some grief over the years, winning this double-header game last year in a massive upset 38-26. However generally the Storm never lose two straight and, especially after a pretty limp defensive display, I can see Craig Bellamy really firing them up here. The Titans are looking very poor the last month, especially defensively, and if they don’t start fast here I can see them losing this game by over 20 points.
