NRL Round 9 - My Best Bets

RUNNING TALLY = +48 Units
9 UNITS = 3 Leg Multi @ $2.89 (Brisbane Broncos Head to Head $1.50 into Canberra Raiders Head to Head $1.45 into Sydney Roosters Head to Head $1.30)
All these teams are playing at home against teams that appear to be going backwards, for mine, in the Bulldogs, Titans and Sea Eagles. The form tends to settle down after a couple of months, and I think we can expect less upsets, and the teams playing with confidence and momentum to start getting on a roll. The Broncos were excellent in the second half last week and should have too much for a Bulldogs' side that, whilst trying, is limited and clunky in attack. The Raiders surely will get revenge on the Titans after they blew an 18-0 lead in Round 1; the Titans away form has been diabolical mostly this season. Manly are down to the bare bones and I can see them copping a pasting from the Roosters.
8 Units = LEG MULTI @$3.15 (Roosters -8.5 v Manly @ $1.80 into Panthers v Cowboys Sweet Spot $1.75)
I really like the Roosters this week as, despite not clicking all year, they have already won 3 games by 13 plus against teams travelling far better than Manly this year. I thought they threw a fair bit at the Dragons last week, who showed outstanding defence and resolve to turn them away. Manly look a mess at the moment both on and off the field, and I can't see them really folding in this game, especially if they get behind early. I just think the Panthers and Cowboys game is a speciality for the "sweet spot" where the margin has to fall between certain parameters. This is extremely likely to be a close and low scoring game, so getting +12.5 for the Cowboys and +8.5 for the Panthers at $1.75 gives us a 20 point spread.
3 UNITS = 2 Leg Multi @ $8.68 (Cowboys 1-12 v Panthers @ $3.10 into Sharks 1-12 v Parramatta @ 2.80)
I think Penrith might be a little vulnerable at the moment given the amount of injuries they have, and given where they sit on the table in relative comfort. The Cowboys, with Origin round the corner, are going to be absolutely desperate to get a win here, as their season is fast slipping away to the untenable stage. I'm backing the change of Morgan to fullback might spark the team a little and, if they win, it will be close. The Sharks are the sort of side that know how to get the job done ugly. Parramatta are improving, but I think the Sharks will grind out another close win at home.
