Preview - The Strikers can lock up a home semi-final with a victory on the road when they take on the Renegades tonight at Etihad Stadium. The Strikers are undefeated at home this year, but are 2-2 on the road. The Renegades are right in the finals mix at 4-3 with three games remaining in their regular season.
Big Batting Battle - Cameron White v Travis Head - The two captains, in White and Head, return here from less than satisfying returns on Australian ODI duty, to lock horns in this crunch battle. Both players failed to fire as Australia were swept by England and will want runs if they are to retain their places in the national plan for the World Cup in England in 2018.
Big Bowling Battle – Rashid Khan v Keiron Pollard – Here we have one unknown overseas import, with Rashid Khan for the Strikers who has provided huge impact, up against a well-known overseas import, in Keiron Pollard for the Renegades, returning for his first game of the tournament. Khan has been remarkably tight, taking 12 wickets at 5.46 runs per overs, whilst Pollard is a vastly experienced T20 bowler with good off speed deliveries and a strong competitive steak.
Ground Dynamic - Etihad Stadium - The drop in wickets at the Etihad have played pretty well this year, with decent enough pace in them for batsmen to hit through the line. It’s a bit longer down the ground so expect the bowlers to try and pitch the ball up more and try plenty of off speed deliveries.
THE PROPHET'S PICK (18-16) - Adelaide Strikers - "The Strikers are a very well drilled team this season and I think they win here, with Head back in, and secure a home semi-final."
