NFL - My Best 5 Bets for Week 2

Tennessee Titans (0-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) - EverBank Field

BET = Tennessee Titans -1.5 ($1.90)

I know the Jags were impressive last week however they are generally allergic to prosperity. The Titans have a well balanced side this year and came up against a real AFC contender in the Raiders last week. No potential playoff teams wants to drop to 0-2 so I see the Titans going on the road and dealing with the Jaguars this week. 

New England Patriots (0-1) @ New Orleans Saints (0-1) - SuperDome

BET = New Orleans Saints +6.5 ($1.90) 

I give the Saints a genuine chance of winning this game at home. Even during their struggles over the past 3 years the Saints are a far different beast at home. The Patriots defence looked all at sea last week in giving up 42 at home to the Chiefs.Drew Brees and the Saints have a  high octane offence. Whilst you would be a fool to not expect New England to bounce back i see this game being a high scoring thriller. 

Minnesota Vikings (1-0) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) - Heinz Field

BET = Over 44.5 Total Match Points ($1.92) 

The Steelers stunk it up a bit last week despite beating the lowly Browns by 3 points in Cleveland. I expect their vaunted offence to be far more in tune this week playing in front of their vocal home fans at Heinz Field. Sam Bradford was outstanding last week for the Vikings and against a suspect Steelers defence I expect this to be a high scoring game in Pittsburgh. 

Miami Dolphins (0-0) @ Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) - StubHub Centre

BET = Los Angeles Chargers -3.5 ($1.92)

This is the Chargers first home game is Los Angeles and I reckon they might christen it with a thumping victory. The Dolphins have had a disrupted Pre Season having not played for 2 weeks and with Jay Cutler making his first start at quarterback. I think they are going to take a few weeks to get going. 

New York Jets (0-1) v Oakland Raiders (1-0) - Oakland Coliseum

BET = Over 43.5 Total Match Points ($1.90) 

The Raiders were involved in plenty of high scoring shoot outs at home last season with 7 of their 8 home games having more then 43 points scored. Whilst the Jets hardly look like an offensive machine, the Raiders have a suspect defence that can always leak a couple of touchdowns. I expect the Raiders to win big and this game to be a high scoring.
