My 5 Best Bets for NRL Round 10

My 5 Best Bets for NRL Round 10

1. South Sydney Rabbitohs v Wests Tigers @ ANZ Stadium

BET = South Sydney Rabbitohs -1.5

1. I don't mind sides coming off an embarrassing loss, as they usually get a response, and Souths were embarrassing against Manly.
2. Souths forward pack is stronger than when they took on the Tigers in Round 1, plus they were without Adam Reynolds for that game.
3. Tigers still have a lot of issues, with Aaron Woods out and Mitchell Moses still intent on a release.
4. These sides have traded wins over the years, so the fact Souths have lost the last 4, I'm thinking they are due!
5. I just like the bounce back factor here. The Tigers will struggle without Woods in the forwards, and Souths are due for a win against one of their rivals.

2. Penrith Panthers v New Zealand Warriors @ Pepper Stadium

BET = Panthers -1.5

1. The Warriors have won just 2 from their past 8 games against the Panthers stretching back to 2010.
2. The Warriors are yet to win outside of NZ this year, with 3 straight defeats.
3. The Panthers need this victory to save their season which is fast slipping away.
4. Penrith form at home has not been too bad with 1 victory and 2 very narrow defeats to the Roosters and Souths.
5. I think, putting together the Warriors awful away form with the fact the Panthers desperately need a win, and the home side should be able to win a high scoring contest.

3. Manly Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos @ Suncorp Stadium

BET = Over 39.5 Points

1. The Sea Eagles have been an attacking force this season, averaging over 24 point per game.
2. The Broncos have hit their stride of late, scoring over 20 points in their past 4 victories.
3. Both these sides have thrown the football around of late, playing an exciting brand conducive to scoring plenty of points.
4. Manly can have their off days in defence, having been whacked a few times this year.
5. I think this'll be one of the better games of the round, with plenty of tries and action.

4. Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders @ McDonald Jones Stadium

BET = Over 45.5 Points

1. The Raiders’ attack is averaging 23 points per game this year and is due to fire after a couple of average performances.
2. The Knights are still conceding 27 points per game this season with the worst defence in the NRL.
3. Both these sides like to throw the ball around which should make for an open and exciting game.
4. An afternoon game in Newcastle usually mean a dry and fast track which is tailor made for plenty of points.
5. I think the Raiders can score 5-6 tries in this game and they will let a few in as well.

5. Sydney Roosters v Parramatta Eels @ Allianz Stadium

BET = Sydney Roosters -5.5

1. The Roosters have been dominant over the Eels over the past 5 years, winning 7 from 10 games.
2. The Roosters’ defence has really stepped up a notch in the past few games, conceding just 32 points in their last 3 games.
3. Parramatta have won their past 3 games, however they were all against out of form sides in the Tigers, Panthers and an understrength Cowboys.
4. The Roosters have had a lot of night games this year, so in an afternoon game I think they might be able to show their full array of attacking weapons.
5. I'm sure Parramatta will be gutsy; however the Roosters have too much class for mine in this one.
