NFL Big Game Preview - Patriots (10-3) @ Steelers (11-2) - Heinz Field
New England Patriots (10-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (11-2) - Heinz Field
Preview - It's another battle for the ages between Ben Rothlisberger and Tom Brady as the Steelers and Patriots lock horns in a crunch AFC matchup in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Both sides have streaked away from the rest of the AFC, with the winner of this battle likely to claim crucial home field advatange. Whilst there is still six weeks before the AFC Championship game, I would be absolutely shocked if it were anyone else than theses two old rivals locking horns with a place in Super Bowl LIII on the line. The Patriots will be looking to rebound from a shock 27-17 reverse at Miami, whilst the Steelers have pulled off a couple of wild come-from-behind victories against their Divisional rivals, the Bengals and the Ravens, to currently lay claim to the Number 1 seed in the AFC.
Verdict - Pittsburgh Steelers 33 New England Patriots 24
I like Pittsburgh tomorrow at home, despite all and sundry saying the Patriots don't lose two games in a row under Belichick and Brady. The Patriots have been installed as $1.70 favourites for tomorrow, and they do have a good record against Pittsburgh, but going in to Heinz Field against a red hot Big Ben could spell trouble for a shaky Patriots' defence for me. The Steelers have a habit of playing to the level of their opposition, so despite many of their victories against poor sides being less then convincing, I'm almost certain they will produce their best performance of the season tomorrow. The Steelers know they can't go into Foxboro in January and win the AFC Championship game, so it's everything on the line tomorrow for the gold and black brigade. I love seeing these two hall of fame quarterbacks go at it and, with plenty at stake tomorrow, this could be another battle to remember.
