NFL - My Best 5 Bets for Week 8

Minnesota Vikings (4-3) @ Cleveland Browns (0-7) - FirstEnergy Stadium
BET = Cleveland Browns +10.5 ($1.90)
No doubt the Vikings are a great home side; however they have been shaky in their two road games this season. The Vikings lost by 17 to the Steelers, and squeaked over the line by 3 points against the Bears away. The Browns stink obviously; however 3 of their 4 home losses have been by exactly 3 points. The Vikings are not a high scoring team, so I'm quite surprised by this line. I think the Browns are a puncher’s chance of a win here; so getting 10.5 start seems generous.
Oakland Raiders (3-4) @ Buffalo Bills (5-2) - New Era Field
BET = Oakland Raiders +2.5 ($1.90)
I just get the feeling the Raiders are a streaky sort of team, and that last gasp win over the Chiefs might get their season rolling. Derek Carr finally looked like the Derek Carr of last year, throwing for over 400 yards against a typically stingy Chiefs’ defence. The Bills are playing really smash mouth football this year, running the ball well and defending stoutly. However, I think there might be a ceiling to this team and, if they get involved in a shoot out, I'm backing Derek Carr over Tyrod Taylor. The Bills deserve favouritism. I'm just going with a gut feeling that the Raiders show up here.
Dallas Cowboys (3-3) @ Washington Redksins (3-3) - FedEx Field
BET = Dallas Cowboys -1.5 ($1.90)
I think the Cowboys are the team that are about to get on a big roll and prove their Super Bowl credentials. The Cowboys have had a pretty tough early season schedule, and 2 of their 3 losses have come by 5 points or less. The Redskins have a few injury concerns on the defensive side of the ball, and last week we saw them cough up 34 points at the Eagles. This is now a massive Divisional game, with both sides chasing the 6-1 Eagles. However, I just think the Cowboys’ offense is firing, and their defence can make enough plays to get a good road win here.
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) @ Detroit Lions (4-2) - Ford Field
BET = Over 44.5 Total Match Points ($1.75)
I’ve had success betting the overs this year in indoor stadiums and I see no reason to change that up here. I get Matt Stafford and Ben Roethlisberger in perfect dome conditions with high-powered offences, so this has to be one of the bets of the round. The Steelers finally look to be getting their offence into gear, putting up 29 points against the Bengals last week, whilst the Lions managed a whopping 38, despite going down to the Saints in their last appearance. I see there being over 50 points in this game, so over 44.5 at $1.75 looks generous.
Denver Broncos (3-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs (5-2) - Arrowhead Stadium
BET = Denver Broncos +7 ($1.90)
I know the Broncos have lost 3 straight; however, the Chiefs have also lost 2 straight, and this is a big rivalry game. Seven points is a big start between two bitter rivals in a prime time game, so I am backing Denver’s defence to really give the Chiefs a low scoring dog fight here. These teams rarely play anything other than close games so, whilst I would be surprised if the Broncos won, I think they can keep this game close until the end.
